In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Jason Samuel had on those he encountered along his journey. Though Jason Samuel may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He is survived by: his wife Amy Majerus Plowden; his daughters, Hannah Plowden (Shane Lee) of Barrineau and Chelsie Plowden of Johnsonville; his sister Crystal Plowden of Scranton; his niece Chloe McGee; his nephew Toby McGee (Lizzie Chandler); his parents, James Henry Plowden and Martha Ann King Plowden; and his nephew T. J. McGee.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 17th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Floyd Funeral Home, Inc. (136 E Main St, Olanta, SC 29114). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, May 18th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Cypress Grove Church (7001 Friendfield Rd, Effingham, SC 29541).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Eastern Carolina Community Foundation, Attn: FCSO Foundation, PO Box 1615, Florence 29503 in Jason's memory, continuing his legacy of helping others.
