She was predeceased by: her mother Elizabeth Hegler; her former husband Dennis Charles Hinson; and her husband Lee Carnes. She is survived by: her children, Teresa Brazell (Richard) of Lugoff, Cathy Roberts (Clint) of Westville and Bobbie Jo Barfield (Daniel) of Kershaw. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
