He was predeceased by: his parents, William Leroy Humphries, Sr. and Virgie Thompson Humphries; his wife Linda Sue Hunter Humphries; his siblings, Ottie Lee Catoe, Edna Humphries, Shelby Jean Pethel, William Leroy (Humphries, Jr.), Edward Humphries and Jack Wayne Humphries; and his siblings-in-law, Almetta H. Estridge, Annette Hunter, Pauline H. Tayor, Bobby Hunter, Earl Hunter, Ira B. Hunter and Jack Hunter.
He is survived by: his sisters, Shirley Dease (Luke) of Kershaw, S. C. and Janice Langley (Tommy) of Kershaw, S. C.; his siblings-in-law, Barbarba "Tip" Carnes (TC), Tom Hunter (Gail) and Rev. Carl Hunter (Rilda); and his nephew Rev. Larry Humphries. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Baker Conference Center (105 N Minor St, Kershaw, SC 29067). A burial will be held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 from 12:15 PM to 12:30 PM at the Abney Baptist Church Cemetery (5180 Bethune Rd, Kershaw, SC 29067). Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Abney Baptist Church (5180 Bethune Rd, Kershaw, SC 29067).
