She was predeceased by: her parents, J. T. Freeman and Hattie Rollins Freeman; her husband Gary Wallace Thompson; and her brothers, James Freeman (Anne), Earl Freeman and Lonnie Freeman.
She is survived by: her daughters, Angela Thompson and Melissa Gandy (Todd); her grandsons, Heath Gandy, Matthew Gandy of Olivia Gandy, J. T and Jake Hayhurst; her daughters, Ariana Gandy and Ariel Gandy; her siblings, Betty Bartell (Wayne), Mae Blackmon (Frankie), Pat Robinson (Larry), Thomas Freeman (Judy), Jesse Freeman (Margaret) and Donnie Freeman (Lisa); her sister-in-law Donna Freeman; and her adoptive parent Sissy Walker. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
