He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl L. Godwin and Mamie C. Godwin; his daughter April McKenzie; his daughter-in-law Rebecca Roth; and his siblings, Janet Murdock, Wilda Lee, Carl Godwin and Keith Leavens.
He is survived by: his wife Sara Beth Burgess Godwin; his children, Candace Powell (Benji) of Kingstree and Christopher Roth of Lakeland, FL; his grandchildren, Rivers Powell, MaKenzie Powell, Jordan Roth, Alyssa Roth and O'Neil Roth; and his siblings, Jean Chandler (Daniel) of Lake City, Susan Godwin of Scranton, Wanda Godwin of Lakeland, FL, Stan Godwin (Scarlett) of Raleigh, NC and Mitchell Godwin (Michelle) of Summerville.
