We bid farewell to Dorothy Lee Williams of Kingstree, South Carolina, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on September 28, 2025 at the age of 81. Dorothy touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Nelson Sr. and Daisy Ree Hughes Nelson; her husband Jeremiah Williams Sr. of Kingstree, SC; her siblings, Charlie Nelson Jr. and Laura Nesmith; her sons, Joseph Nelson and Michael Williams; her grandchildren, Margaret Williams and Kamiya Brown; and her great grandchild Jamariah Miller.
She is survived by: her children, Jeremiah Williams (Deloris), Theresa Cunningham and Alma Spates; her grandchildren, Tawanna, Angelo, Sr., Antonio, Ebony, Demetri, Shirldrena, Joseph, Alicia and Nicole; her great grandchildren, Desmond Williams, Dijonae Chandler, Dijon Chandler, Anjales Williams, Angelo Williams Jr., X'zarion Williams and Jai'riece Dorsey; her brothers, Joe Nell Nesmith, Randolph Nesmith and Chynetta Moody; and her godson Nathaniel Bufkin.
Viewing was held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Clauddie Henryhand Memorial Chapel (1951 Thurgood Marshall Hwy, Kingstree, SC 29556). A funeral service was held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Greater Bethel AME Church (300 W Main St, Kingstree, SC 29556).
