He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Janet Ruehl McCrea; his parents, Lathan Marcellous McCrea and Moeaden Eaddy McCrea; his sons, William Marcellous McCrea (Shannon) of Kingstree and Carl Ruehl McCrea (Chasity) of Kingstree; his grandchildren, Jennifer Grace McCrea, Emma Bailey McCrea, Shelby Ryan McCrea, Jack Marcellous McCrea and Summer Ruehl McCrea; and his sisters, Nellie Harriette McCrea, Donna Jane McCrea and Noreen K. Steward (JoJo).

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Williamsburg Funeral Home (332 E Main St, Kingstree, SC 29556). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Central Presbyterian Church (5001 Thurgood Marshall Hwy, Kingstree, SC 29556).
