In loving memory of Kenneth C. Thames Sr. (Kingstree, South Carolina), who departed this world on June 8, 2025 at the age of 86. Kenneth leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Laverne Thames and Mildred Carter Thames; his brother Carter Thames of Rincon, GA; his grandparents, Ross and Eunice Thames; his stepmother Claire Thames; and his great grandchild Noah Thames.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Baylor Thames; his children, Kenneth C. "Ken" Thames, Jr. (Tammy) of Alcolu, SC, Kevin Thames (Michelle) of Johnsonville, SC, Kerry Thames (Emily) of Kingstree and Amy Gause (Bruce) of Kingstree; his brother Billy Thames (Joyce) of Martha's Vineyard, MA; his half-sister Linda Whitten of Lexington, SC; his grandchildren, Kenneth C. Thames, III (Laci) of New Zion, SC, Phillip Thames (Amber) of New Zion, SC, Christian Floyd (Evan) of New Zion, SC, Melinda Thames of Andrews, SC, Kimberly Thames of Hemingway, SC, Sgt. Neal Thames (Megan) of Hinesville, GA, Brittany Morris of Johnsonville, SC, Brandon Ray of Tucson, AZ, Brook Rabon (Austin) of Johnsonville, Madison Thames of Johnsonville, Nathan Thames (Breanne) of Kingstree, Abigail Tranquilino (Sergio) of Simpsonville, SC, Brandy Lambert of Charleston, SC, Justin Gause (Maci) of Kingstree and Brandy Gause of Kingstree; and his caregivers, Mary Cooper and Shonda McCullough. He is also survived by many great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Williamsburg Funeral Home (332 E Main St, Kingstree, SC 29556). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Kingstree Memorial Gardens (11091 Hemingway Hwy, Kingstree, SC 29556).
