He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Edward Ward and Eunice Eaddy Ward; his wife Alice Faye Coker Ward; and his siblings, Vermell Ward Douglas, Annabelle Ward Benton, Lou Dell Ward Mishoe, Elizabeth Ward Elliott, Rev. Rhett Ward and Rev. Robert Ward.
He is survived by: his children, Michael Ward (Denise), Rev. Clark Ward of Kingstree and Esther Ward of Kingstree; his grandchildren, Stephanie Harrington (Brian) of New Zion, Sarah Knotts (Erik) of Scranton and John Caleb Ward of Andrews; his stepgrandsons, Allen Foxworth (Crystal) of Pamplico and Steven Foxworth of Pleasant Hill; his great grandchildren, Lacey Harrington Scoggins (Kyle) of New Zion, Ethan Knotts and Abby Faye Knotts of Scranton; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Allen Foxworth III, Gage Foxworth of Pamplico and Charlotte Foxworth of Pleasant Hill; and his brother Thurmond Ward of Kingstree. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 9th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM and at 3:00 PM. A burial will be held on Sunday, November 9th 2025 at the Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery (4943-4835 Cade Rd, Cades, SC 29518).
