It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Barr of Kingstree, South Carolina, who passed away on November 1, 2025, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. William L. Singletary and Cora Lee Singletary; her husband Samuel L. Barr; and her siblings, Leroy Singletary and Stephanie Singletary.
She is survived by: her children, Eena Cunningham (Michael) of Kingstree, SC and Terrance Barr of Kingstree, SC; and her siblings, Carla Singletary of Lake City, SC, Kimberly Singletary of Atlanta, GA, Lewis Singletary of Philadelphia, PA, Melvin Singletary of Boston, MA, Malachi Singletary of Lake City, SC, Harry Singletary (Janice) of Lake City, SC, Sandiago Singletary (Violet) of Lake City, SC and Archie Singletary of Lake City, SC. She is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Viewing was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Clauddie Henryhand Memorial Chapel (1951 Thurgood Marshall Hwy, Kingstree, SC 29556). A graveside service was held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 12:00 PM.
