He was predeceased by: his wife Beth Milam Smith; his parents, John William Smith and Virginia Louise Hardin; his sister Tammy Trull; and his cousin Steve Brown.
He is survived by: his children, Miranda Whetsell (Tim) of Florence, SC, Ashley Gulledge (Dennis) of North Carolina, Brad Smith (Shannon) of North Carolina, Todd Smith and Neal Smith of Kingstree; and his grandchildren, Lucas Whetsell, Aiden Whetsell, Alexis Gulledge, Allison Gulledge, Sarah Gulledge, Mason Gulledge, Kylie Smith, Elena Smith and Jacob Smith.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Floyd Funeral Home (136 E Main St, Olanta, SC 29114). A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 at 2:15 PM at the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery (6149 Thurgood Marshall Hwy, Kingstree, SC 29556).
