He is survived by: his wife Geneva Ward Altman; his children, Jamie Eston Altman (Shand) and Leslie Altman Whetzel (Jeff); his grandchildren, Savannah Whetzel Johnson (Konner), Ashton Jameson Altman and Miller Altman Whetzel; his great grandchild Ella Mae Marie Johnson; his sister-in-law Isla Rebecca Gross (Norm); his nephew Robby Carpenter Jr.; his great-aunt Minnie Campbell; and his caregiver Shayolanda McClary. He is also survived by many other family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Williamsburg Funeral Home (332 E Main St, Kingstree, SC 29556). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Suttons Methodist Church (3168 Santee Rd, Andrews, SC 29510).
