It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Samuel Young Sr. of Ladson, South Carolina, who passed away on October 17, 2025, at the age of 44, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Donald Young, Sr.; and his brother Donny Young, Jr.. He is survived by: his mother Debra White Young of Ladson, SC; his children, James Samuel Young, Jr. of Charleston, SC and Natalie Paige Young of Charleston, SC; his sisters, Melissa Anne Gainey of Ladson, SC and Mary Young Barrs of St. Stephens, SC; his aunt Sharon Emmons; his cousins, Lisa Walker and Ricky Walker; and his sister-in-law Sabrina S. Cannon. He is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Northwoods Chapel (2180 Greenridge Rd, North Charleston, SC 29406). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
