The family announces the passing of Joseph Aaron Ohorodnyk Sr. of Ladson, South Carolina on October 4, 2026. Joseph, born on August 14, 1944, was part of many shared moments and relationships throughout life. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
Joseph will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Friends and family will honor Joseph by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence he had in their lives. Though Joseph is no longer present, the bonds he created and the experiences shared will endure. Joseph’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew him.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Ohorodnyk and Anastazia Ohorodnyk. He is survived by: his wife Cathie; his children, Joseph (Megan), Joshua and Alicia; and his brothers, John and Andrew (Mary). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Northwoods Chapel (2180 Greenridge Rd, North Charleston, SC 29406). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Beaufort National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the USO in honor of Joseph Ohorodnyk.
