The memory of Laban Best Griffin Jr. of Ladson, South Carolina, born in Mason, Kentucky, who passed away on April 17, 2024 at the age of 89, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by : his parents, Laban Best and Susan Thompson Griffin; his son Jimbo Griffin; and his brother Arthur "Punk" Griffin. He is survived by : his wife Carolyn Branch Griffin of Ladson; his children, Carl Allen (Krista) of Maysville and Marcy Griffin Carter of Ladson, SC; his grandchildren, Cameron Griffin, Kaylee Mason (Stephen), Noah Carter, Christian Carter, Lance Griffin, Hope Griffin, Bella Griffin and Storm Griffin; and his great grandchildren, Reeves and Rowan Mason.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, at 7:00 PM and on Saturday, April 27th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Brell & Son Funeral Home (620 E 2nd St, Maysville, KY 41056). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
