She was predeceased by : her husband James Carnell Duke; her parents, Leon Kennedy and Maybelle Evans Kennedy; and her siblings, Vera Collins of Clara Earp, G. W, Walter Kennedy, Junior Kennedy and Clifton Kennedy.

She is survived by : her children, Don Duke of Lake City and Kay Kinder (Johnny) of Cades; her grandson Jason Kinder (Audrey) of Salters; and her sister Ruby Finch of Wilmington, NC..
