Kenith Spate Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Kenith Spate of Lake City, South Carolina, who passed away on November 9, 2025 at the age of 64. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Kenith may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Kenith touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

He is survived by: his daughter Amanda Taylor of Olanta, SC; his grandson Shyheim Platt of Olanta, SC; his sister Evelyn Barber (Eddie) of Columbia, SC; and his aunts, Ella Mae Graham (Wallace) of Lake City, SC, Geneva Hawkins of New York, Reatha Lewis of New York and Fannie Mae Woods of Washington, DC.. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Viewing was held on Friday, November 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Chapel of Peace (122 W Thomas St, Lake City, SC 29560). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. John A. M. E. Church (904 County Rd S-45-158, Kingstree, SC 29556).
