We are sad to announce that on October 18, 2025, Cheryl Wright Nelson of Lake Wylie, South Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Cheryl farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Cheryl is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Wright and Dorothy Wright of Knoxville, TN; and her siblings, Patti Wright Varnell (Charles) of Greeneville, TN, Robert Lee Wright (Susan) of Huntsville, AL and David Wright (Shirley) of Dungannon, VA..
She is survived by: her husband Jay; her brother Philip Wright of Knoxville; and her brother-in-law Steve Nelson (Melanie) of Memphis, TN. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Community Church of Lake Wylie (104 Hamiltons Ferry Rd, Lake Wylie, SC 29710).
