It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Irene Smith of Lamar, South Carolina, who passed away on August 20, 2022, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. James Howell and Rozell Lloyd Howell; her husband Jack Smith; her grandson Hampton Logan; and her siblings, Buddy, C. B. Howell and Rebecca Boshers.

She is survived by: her sons, Rusty Logan (Angie) of Lamar, Jack Smith (Debbie) of Lamar, Joey Logan of Lamar, Randy "Pee Wee" Smith (Renee) of Lydia and Butch Smith (Linda) of Hartsville; her brother Willie "Bill" Howell (Alice) of Lamar; and her caregiver Anne Stevens. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren.
