It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jean Grooms of Lamar, South Carolina, born in Darlington, South Carolina, who passed away on March 23, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Louie Knotts and Gladys Nichols Knotts; her husband Vernon Grooms; and her sisters, Clarice McCoy and Vera Bell.
She is survived by : her children, Garris Grooms and Deborah G. Moore of Lamar; her grandchildren, Shawn Sharpe, Dustin Sharpe (Jennifer), Cammie Grooms, Chasity Cox, Fairlynn Bruce (David), Harley Cox and Kade Sharpe; and her siblings, William, Keith Knotts (Jeannie) of Florence, Randy Knotts (Cynde) of Hartsville and Judy K. Atkinson (Mac) of Bishopville.
