He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Larand and Rhonda Hancock Watford; his wife Pat Willis Watford; his sons, Wayne Skidmore, Steven Skidmore and Robert "Bert" Watford; his great great grandchild Kaiden Depugh; and his siblings, Elfreeda Barnes and Ben Watford, Jr..

He is survived by: his granddaughter Crystal Skidmore; his brother Don Watford (Betty); his great grandchildren, Heidi McNeil, Chasity Skidmore, Malika Depugh and Melika Depugh; and his daughter-in-law Ida Skidmore. He is also survived by 6 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Belk Funeral Home (217 E Main St, Lamar, SC 29069). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Lamar United Methodist Church (103 N Darlington Ave, Lamar, SC 29069).
