It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ophelia Coe Ings of Lamar, South Carolina, born in Darlington, South Carolina, who passed away on April 21, 2022, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Addie Lee Lucas Coe and Willie "Bill" Coe; her siblings, Doristeen Coe, Rosa Lee Dinkins, Elease Stevenson, Betty Joyce Ross, Billy Lyde, Marion Willie Lucas and Charlie Coe; and her former life partner Ronald Ings.
She is survived by : her daughters, Simone Green (Gregory) of Hartsville, SC and Tara Mingo (Devin) of Darlington, SC; her sisters, Novella Fox of Oates, SC, Arnese Coe of Oates, SC and Jennie Waiters of Oates, SC; her aunt Dora Grant of Darlington, SC; her grandchildren, Jasmine Mingo of Florence, SC, Avrin Smith of Hartsville, SC, Ebony Mingo of Darlington, SC and Unique Ross of Darlington, SC; and her great grandchild Ryleigh James of Florence, SC. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
