Alan touched many lives and will be remembered fondly for the moments shared and the memories created. Family, friends, and colleagues extend their love and support during this time. He was predeceased by: his father James Augustus Mize. He is survived by: his wife Mary Beth Mize; his mother Betsy Ball Mize; his children, Landry Mize (Megan Rosemond), Hudson Mize and Amelia Mize; and his sisters, Patti Steen (Glenn) and Christi McManus (Ritch). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, November 8th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Lancaster (300 S Market St, Lancaster, SC 29720).
