She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter Bortnick and Mary Melnik Bortnick; her husband Bobby Barbee; her grandson Charles Thomas Pearson, Jr.; and her brothers, David Bortnick, Larry Bortnick and William Bortnick.

She is survived by: her daughters, Kelli Olszewski (Andrew) of Concord, NC, Tricia Pearson of Pineville, NC and Michele McBride of Tulsa, OK.; her grandchildren, Andrew, Lauren, Alexandria Olszewski, McKinley Pearson, Gavyn Kilminster, Rachel, Carson and Jake Thompson; her siblings, Peter Bortnick, James Bortnick, Donald Bortnick and Doreen Nelson; Kannon Kilminster. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
