It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Barbara Horton of Lancaster, South Carolina, who passed away on May 20, 2025, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Lee Denton and Sallie Hamilton Denton; her husband Maxie Lee Horton; and her siblings, Kay Walden, Brenda Stallings, Vickie Faulkenberry, James Denton, Alvin Denton, Gene Denton and Margaret Whitt.
She is survived by: her children, Lee Horton (Wendy) and Melissa Privette (Mel); her grandchildren, Brady Horton (Natalie), Riley Horton, Bryson Privette (Clarenda) and Brenton Privette; her great grandchild Lawson Horton; and her sister JoAnn Mungo. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Burgess Funeral Home (1800 Charlotte Hwy, Lancaster, SC 29720). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home (1800 Charlotte Hwy, Lancaster, SC 29720). A burial was held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 at the Lancaster Memorial Park (1389 Memorial Park Rd, Lancaster, SC 29720).
