He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Coats and Edith Coats. He is survived by: his significant other Geraldine Coats; and his children, Doug Coats, Kevin Coats (Marlyss), Darice France (Doug) and Andrea Crowell. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.
