It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol Ghent (Lancaster, South Carolina), who passed away on February 20, 2026, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ira Wilkes Parker and Edith Pearl Taylor Parker; her husband Jimmy Ghent; and her brother Maxwell Parker. She is survived by: her daughters, Annette Ghent Melton (Keith), Angela Ghent and Jamie Roberts (Scott); her grandchildren, Parker Melton (Micah) and William Atticus Sims; her great grandchildren, Elijah Ray Melton and Nova Brielle Melton; and her sister-in-law Joyce G. Bowers.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests memorial contributions to be made to New Cut Presbyterian Church at 2617 New Cut Church Rd., Lancaster, SC 29720.
