He was predeceased by: his parents, Wylie Jessie Brazell, Sr. and Alice White Brazell; his wife Emily Williams Brazell; and his siblings, Rev. Tommy Brazell, Wylie J. Brazell, Jr., Mary Ann Baker, Bernice Vaughn, Faye Vaughn and Katherine "Sissy" Monroe.
He is survived by: his children, Brenda Criminger (Charlie) and Mike Brazell (Susan); his grandchildren, Crystal Carter (Scott), Jennifer Bumgardner (Jamie) and Jonathan Ormand (August); his great grandchildren, Jason Dobbins (Caroline), Matt Carter (Sarah), Grayson Ormand, Landon Carter, Gibson Bumgardner, Olivia Bumgardner, Emily Bumgardner, Holden Ormand and Rhian Ormand; his great great grandchild Natalie Carter; and his brothers, Johnny Childers (Cheryl) and Gene Childers.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Burgess Funeral Home (1800 Charlotte Hwy, Lancaster, SC 29720). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home (1800 Charlotte Hwy, Lancaster, SC 29720). A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 at the Lancaster Memorial Park (1389 Memorial Park Rd, Lancaster, SC 29720).
