He was predeceased by: his parents, G. B. Plyler and Ella Catoe Plyler; his wife Martha Plyler; his son Paul R. Plyler; his siblings, Gene Plyler, Jack Plyler, Frank Plyler, Allen Plyler, Mattie Goodman and Barbara Hamby; and his brothers-in-law, John Goodman and Tip Hamby.
He is survived by: his children, Stephen Plyler (Jodie) and Donna Caskey; his grandchildren, Morgan LaValle (Daniel), Jacob Plyler (Donya), Brynn Steele (Alex), Noah Caskey, Ella Caskey, Claire Plyler, Avery Plyler, Madison Pelfrey and Kara Caskey; his daughter-in-law Michelle Pelfrey; his siblings, Edward Plyler (Debra), Grady Plyler (Byrd) and Linda Plyler; and his sisters-in-law, Elfreida Plyler, Barbara Plyler and Marlene Plyler.
