Donald Hamilton Baker Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Donald Hamilton Baker of Lancaster, South Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 8, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Donald farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Donald is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Pauline Schumaker Baker and Russell Hamilton Baker; and his sister Betty A. Baker. He is survived by: his wife Mary Gaylor Baker; his children, Dana Baker of Lancaster, SC and Michael Baker (Matt Knox) of Charlotte, NC.; and his siblings, Patricia Campbell of Union, WV, Doris Rowan (John) of Toledo, OH and Bob Baker (Janet) of Covington, VA. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Mountain View Cemetery.
