He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter C. Brouwer and Margrett A. Bradish; his wife Eleanor Pettit-Brouwer; his sons, Jeffrey Brouwer and Brian Brouwer; his stepsons, Adrian Pettit and Steve Pettit; and his stepgranddaughter Mary Olivia Pettit.
He is survived by: his children, Gregory Brouwer of Michigan, Dennis Brouwer of Charleston, Janet Young of Michigan and Judith Blake of Columbia; and his stepchildren, Bryan Pettit (Lisa) and Pam Vaughn (Randy). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church (200 W Gay St, Lancaster, SC 29720). A memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
