He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Oria Phillips and Sue Lee Broome Phillips; his stepson Dennis Douglas; his grandson Ethan Douglas; and his siblings, Wylie Phillips, Annie Lou Tee Catoe and Farris Phillips.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Phillips; his grandchildren, Tyler Douglas (Lisa) and Hayley McCowan (Tad); his great grandchildren, Faith and Travis Douglas; and his siblings, Mary Lee Catoe, Frank Phillips (Marion), Fred Phillips (Ruth), Larry Phillips and Pam Melton. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
