He is survived by: his close friend Margaret Cauthen; his stepchildren, Dianne Gibson (Patrick), Shonda Coe (Mark) and Larry Donnell Irby, Jr. (Bertha); his grandsons, Patrick Gibson, Jr. and Matthew Gibson; his siblings, Rebecca Cauthen Ervin (Charles), Elizabeth A. Cauthen, Sharetta McCain Moore, Willie Cauthen, Gregory Johnson (Tangela) and Thomas McCain Jr.; and his siblings' children, Shaniqua Moore, Asha Cauthen Jessup (Tamás), Omar J. McSwain (Julia) and Akil J. Jessup. He is also survived by loving family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 14th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Crawford Funeral Home (410 W Meeting St, Lancaster, SC 29720). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
