We are sad to announce that, on August 10, 2021, at the age of 87, Harold Gay of Lancaster, South Carolina, born in Heath Springs, South Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John Henry Gay and Sallie Hendrix Gay Hughes; his daughter Linda; and his sisters, Mildred Snipes, Edith Dean, Sara Granata, Ina Strickland and Margarette Farmer.

He is survived by: his wife Glenda Seegars Gay; his children, Janet G. Edwards of Lancaster, Cathy G. Smith (Gary) of Lancaster, Cynthia G. Williams of Charleston and James Gay, Jr. (Jamie) of Lancaster; his stepsons, William J. Beard (Ginger) of Ashville, R. Neal Beard of Lancaster, Randy Craig Beard (Becky) of Lancaster and Garth B. Beard of Lancaster; his grandchildren, Scott Edwards (Gina), Brad Williams, Troy Smith, Christy Smith and Megan Sirianni (Joel); his great grandchildren, Kasey, Graham, Brayden, Paisley, Alyvia and Levi; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Nolan, Braxton, Danielle, Keri, Brooklyn, Austin, Blake and Riley; and his great great grandchildren, Adalynn and Clayton.
