James Cameron Crumpler Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Cameron Crumpler of Lancaster, South Carolina, who passed away on June 15, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though James Cameron may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those James Cameron touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Elbert Norwood Crumpler and Dorothy Kyle Crumpler; his wife Carolyn Crumpler; his daughter Mary Angela Whitaker; and his brother Edward Crumpler.

He is survived by: his brother David Crumpler (Barbra); his son James Cameron Crumpler Jr. (Kes); and his grandchildren, Morgan Spitler (Jeremy), Meredith Crumpler (Eric) and Gage Martin (Grant). He is also survived by two great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Lancaster Funeral Home & Cremation Service (709 N White St, Lancaster, SC 29720).
