He was predeceased by: his parents, Bert F. Mills and Nancy "Louise" Jordan Mills; his wife Linda Mills; and his siblings, Bobby G. Mills, Wayne Mills, Stevie Mills and Peggy Hinson.
He is survived by: his children, James Derrick Mills (Joyce) and Melanie Mills Hall (Jeff); his grandsons, Andrew Hall (Allison), Alex Hall (Zach), Matthew Mills (Kristen) and Daniel Mills (Rebecca); and his siblings, Shirly Helms, Virginia "Pat" Whitaker, Linda Pressley and Donnie Mills. He is also survived by three great grandchildren.
