She was predeceased by : her parents, Benjamin Walter and Irene Walter; her daughter Stacy Dean; and her siblings, Constance Roberts and Robert Walter.

She is survived by : her husband Guy Dean; her children, Janet Dean (William Stiers) and Timothy Dean (Alicia Dean); her grandchildren, Kevin Dean, Morgan Dean, Troy Dean, Kira Stiers and Collin Stiers; and her siblings, John Walter, Joan Luther and David Walter.

A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Catherine of Assisi's Catholic Church (720 W Meeting St, Lancaster, SC 29720). Visitation was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM and from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the St. Catherine Catholic Church (720 W Meeting St, Lancaster, SC 29720). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
