She was predeceased by: her parents, Marvin Gill Fowler and Majalene Starnes Fowler Hinson; and her siblings, Ernest Fowler, Donald Fowler and Marlene Stacks.

She is survived by: her children, Thomas Gregory "Greg" Smith of Lancaster, Bradley Scott Smith (Tammy) of Florence and Sharon Smith Carter (Ken) of Rock Hill; her sisters, Judy Hudson of Lancaster and Cathy Broadwell (TJ) of Fort Mill; and her grandchildren, Janna, Tyler Smith, Caleb and Anna Carter.
