He was predeceased by: his parents, Blonnie Cureton and C. L. Vaughn; and his brother Willie Cureton. He is survived by: his wife Margaret McKinney Cureton; his children, Janet Velazquez (Elias) of Queens, Janice Dixon (Dale, Sr.) of Charlotte, NC and Herman Cureton (Jennifer) of Matthews, NC; his sister Geneva Hood of Western Union, NC; his aunt Nannie Cureton of Lancaster, SC; and his siblings-in-law, Clara Duckett of Edgewater, NJ, Ona Gallop of Browns Mills, NJ, Robert Duckett of Charlotte, NC and James Edward Davis of Lancaster, SC. He is also survived by Ten grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
