We are sad to announce that on July 18, 2025, at the age of 88, Kay Francis Duncan (Lancaster, South Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Kay departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Kay may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Kay leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Buster Ghent (Grace Baker Harrish) and Christian; her husband Veld Duncan Ir; her sons, Ricky Duncan and Chris Duncan (Janice) of Lancaster, SC.; and her sister June Baker.
She is survived by: her sons, John Richard Duncan (Joann) of Lancaster, SC. and Scott Veld Duncan of Lancaster, SC.; and her granddaughter Samantha Kay Duncan.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Crawford Funeral Home (410 W Meeting St, Lancaster, SC 29720). A funeral service was held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
