He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert "Bunnie" Ernandez and Mary Lillian Ferguson Ernandez; his siblings, Sara Ernandez, Harold, Melvin and Robert Ernandez; and his daughter Cathy Ernandez Knight.
He is survived by: his wife Catherine; his children, Sarah Mullis (Claude), Francine Richardson and Thomas Marion Ernandez; his son-in-law Steve Knight; and his grandchildren, Nellie, Tyler, Brittany and Cody.
