He was predeceased by: his parents, Polly McCowan and Calvin McCowan; and his brothers, Belk McCowan and Steve McCowan. He is survived by: his children, Jamie McCowan (Janet), April Beatty (Mark) and Martha Pridgen (Joey); his grandchildren, Hunter, Michael McCowan, Madison McCowan, Natalie Pridgen, Caroline and Brice Beatty; and his sisters, Phoebe Crouch and Libby Horton (Mac). He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
