He is survived by: his children, Leon Donnell Thompson (Keri) of Monroe, Shawn Waters (John) of Rock Hill, Tomika Madison (Alan) of Rock Hill, Yashimi Shinea Thompson of Newport News, Virginia and Brittany Dye of Washington, D. C.; his brother E. Ray Thompson (Sandy) of Lancaster; his cousin Zan "Bear" McGriff; and his friend Woody McMurray. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
