It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mary Plyler of Lancaster, South Carolina, who passed away on April 13, 2024, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Samuel Everette and Sadie Hammond Hagins; her spouse Chalmers Plyler; her daughter Sandra Plyler Cantwell; her son-in-law Larry Baskins; her great grandchild Samuel Hornack; and her siblings, Julia Hagins, Doris Cauthen, William Hagins, Cecil Hagins, Samuel Hagins and James Hagins.

She is survived by : her children, John Plyler (Anne), Jan Baskins and Carole Bundy (Chuck); and her son-in-law John Walter Cantwell. She is also survived by friends and neighbors.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 16th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Burgess Funeral Home (1800 Charlotte Hwy, Lancaster, SC 29720). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, April 16th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home (1800 Charlotte Hwy, Lancaster, SC 29720).
