She is survived by: her husband Tom Connell; her children, Scott Major (Janice) of Charlotte, NC, Beth Whitehead (Kevin) of Chapel Hill, NC and Tracey Connell Cothran (Derek) of Charlotte, NC; her grandchildren, Jake, Sarah and Drew; and her sisters, Jan Smith (Charlie) of Waynesville, NC and Robin Snook (Craig) of Myrtle Beach, SC. She is also survived by family members and friends.
