He is survived by: his wife Judy Knight; his sons, Richie Knight (Debbie), Ronnie Knight and Rex Knight (Melinda); his grandchildren, Susan Hopkins (Joseph), Kendall Knight (Kaitlin), Hannah Ritschel (Derek) and Ryan Knight (Elie); his great grandchildren, J. J. Hopkins, Luke Hopkins and Marcy Ritschel; and his siblings, Carl Knight, Judy Belk and Sandra Howard. He is also survived by family members and friends.

Visitation was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Burgess Funeral Home & Crematory (1800 Charlotte Hwy, Lancaster, SC 29720). A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 6th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Taylors Grove Baptist Church (2382 Charlotte Hwy, Lancaster, SC 29720).
