He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawson Eugene Sistare and Nada Sistare Funderburk; his brother George Wayne Sistare; and his brother-in-law Jerry Phifer (Barbara). He is survived by: his wife Diane Sistare; his children, Stephen Sistare (Christine) and Lisa Sistare Cauthen; his grandchildren, Grant Cauthen, Rhianna Sistare Micalizzi (Matthew) and Jonathan Sistare; his siblings, Lynn Brecht (Vickie), Barbara Jean Sistare Phifer and Melissa Helms Knight (Phil); and his close friend Michael Cauthen (Father). He is also survived by his son and grandsons.
