Ruby Bailey Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on June 6, 2022, at the age of 88, Ruby Bailey of Lancaster, South Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Grover Ryan Deese and Eula Faile Deese; her husband Thomas Phillip "Buck" Bailey; and her siblings, James Deese, Edsel Deese and Shelby Payne.

She is survived by: her children, Phillip Bailey (Deborah) of Lancaster, Sandy McAteer (Rickey) of Mt. Pleasant and Joni Steranka (Jim) of Lancaster; her grandchildren, Jennifer Blackmon (Samuel), Alison Williams (Chris), Kristen Applewhite (Eric), Corey Steranka, Ryan Bailey (Jeania) and Matthew Bailey (Amanda); her great grandchildren, Landon, Tanner Blackmon, Liam, Elodie Applewhite and Mia Bailey; and her siblings, Elaine Blackmon (Wayne), Carolyn Jacobs (Jimmy) and Ernest Deese.
