We announce the death of Sylvia Timmons of Lancaster, South Carolina, who passed away on July 17, 2026, at the age of 89. Sylvia will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her husband Grady Timmons; her parents, James Rockwell Overcash Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Barnes Overcash; and her siblings, Rev. Mike Overcash and Ellen Overcash.
She is survived by: her daughters, Donna Timmons Carnes (Randy) and Jan Timmons Harris (Wayne); her grandchildren, Justin Carnes (Glenda), Britton Carnes (Tara), Harvey Harris (Emily) and Aleasa Harris; and her great grandchildren, Caden, Grady, Charlie Carnes, Spencer, Cooper Carnes, Benji, Annie and Ollie Harris.
