He is survived by: his wife Patricia "Pat" Seegars; his children, Antionetta "Nita" Seegars Smith of Lancaster, Stephanie "Smooka" Seegers Clemmons (Mel) of Woodstock, Georgia and Rev. Derrick Maurice Seegars Sr. (JanElle) of Westminster, Maryland; his siblings, Deborah Ann Harrison of Savannah, Mylesta Harris of Indian Land, Earlene Wright (Hampton) of Camden, John William Seegers of Kershaw and James Earl Seegers (Josephine) of Savannah, Georgia.; his great grandchild Kennedy Iyla Minson-Smith; and his sister-in-law Betty Lou Anthony. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
